Charlotte City Council Meeting to Decide RNC Gets Heated

Today, the Charlotte City Council is debating whether or not they will host the Republican National Convention in 2020. In the middle of a work day, when plenty of people are unable to attend and have their voices heard. Interesting.

The public spoke for nearly two hours, giving their opinions on the matter. Some felt that they should bow to threats of violence and keep rioting out of their city. Some didn’t want the diversity of thought, calling Republicans the usual names. Republicans, independents, and many business owners spoke in favor of the conventions, asking Charlotte to be open to the completely mainstream viewpoints of all of their constituents, not just those on the left.
