Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren (MA) was heckled on Friday during a campaign stop in Iowa for voting to block a measure that would prohibit infanticide.
Earlier this week Senators voted 53-44 on a bill from Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) that would penalize doctors who fail to “exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.
2020 Democrat presidential candidates Senators Kamala Harris (CA), Bernie Sanders (VT), Cory Booker (NJ), Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Amy Klobuchar (MN), and Elizabeth Warren (MA) all voted “NO” on this bill that would have required doctors to provide proper degree of care to babies born alive after attempted abortion.
“But what we say to each other is if it’s your grandma or it’s you or it’s your niece’s baby, we’re all going to pitch in a few nickels, so we can be there for each other (crowd claps). That is the best of who we are,” Warren said.
There was just enough time for Pocahontas to answer one more question before it was “picture time” when a person in the crowd called her out for her support for infanticide.
“What about the babies that survive abortion — how come they can’t have health care?” a man in the crowd asked.
“Infanticide is illegal everywhere in America,” Warren responded.
“You voted against it,” the man added.
“Go ahead. Infanticide is illegal everywhere in America,” Warren responded.
