President Trump Rips Media for Pushing #FakeMelania Conspiracy Theory

President Donald Trump attacked the media for promoting the #FakeMelania conspiracy theory that First Lady Melania has a body double who traveled in her place to Alabama last week with Trump as he paid tribute to tornado victims.

“The Fake News photoshopped pictures of Melania, then propelled conspiracy theories that it’s actually not her by my side in Alabama and other places. They are only getting more deranged with time!”

Stephanie Grisham also spoke out on Monday, calling out ABC’s popular daytime news-entertainment talk show The View, “. & traveled to Alabama to pay their respects & comfort victims of the tornado devastation. In typical fashion, chooses to laugh in the face of tragedy. Shameful.”

The New York Daily News reported Tuesday, “Melania stoically stood near her husband as they paused by crosses representing the victims in Beauregard — but some felt something was amiss. Could it be a Melania body double we have been seeing?”

The Bulwark’s Molly Jong-Fast was accused of photoshopping a photo of the President and First Lady paying respects at a memorial to those killed in the Alabama tornado outbreak by posting a photo without the crosses they were standing in front of. Jong-Fast added a snarky caption to her work. She deleted the tweet after being called out.

This is most likely what President Trump is referring to when he accused the media of photoshopping pictures of Melania.
