If you frequent the internet, you probably recall April the giraffe, who lives at The Animal Adventure park in Harpursville, New York. She was an internet sensation when she gave birth to calf Tajiri on April 15, 2017. The world waiting with bated breath, checking the livestream constantly for weeks to see when the baby would arrive.
Well, it’s time again. April is in labor with calf number five (Tajiri was her fourth, but the first to go viral) and, once again, people have been watching the livestream of her barn for days, waiting for the big moment.
The park suspected this morning that today might be the day.

They were right. The moment is here. April is having a baby, while her mate Oliver paces in the pen next door, as fathers have done since the beginning of time.
