House Intel Chairman Adam Schiff is preparing to make a criminal referral for Blackwater founder Erik Prince to the Department of Justice.
“The evidence strongly suggests that he misled our committee,” Leaker and liar Adam Schiff told the Washington Post’s Robert Costa Tuesday.
Prince may actually be protected from the charges because his so-called misleading statements to Congress may have come from his volunteer sessions to Mueller.
Mueller previously investigated whether founder of the security firm Blackwater, Erik Prince misled the House Intel Panel over a meeting he had in the Seychelles islands in January of 2017.
Erik Prince was accused of trying to set up a secret back channel with Russia during this meeting in the Seychelles.
Prince, who is also brother to Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, denied trying to set up a back channel to the Kremlin in a November 2017 testimony to the House Intel Panel.
Erik Prince told the House Intel Panel that his meeting with a Russian official in the Seychelles was spontaneous, however, Mueller’s report contradicts Prince’s statements.
According to Mueller, the meeting in the Seychelles was planned — Prince met with George Nader, a Lebanese-American consultant who acted as a liaison to Russian officials “looking to build a link with the incoming Trump Administration.”
Why was Mueller, an inferior official in the Justice Department, even allowed to investigate what was happening during the Trump Transition?
Isn’t it strange how Trump supposedly had deep ties to Russia, the Kremlin and Putin during the entire 2016 election, yet Erik Prince had to set up a secret back channel to communicate with Russia after the election?
