Who’s really in charge?
Kamala Harris, not Joe Biden welcomed German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday as she arrived in DC for a meeting on US-German relations.
Merkel arrived to the Vice President’s residence for a working breakfast with Kamala Harris Thursday morning.

A few hours later Angela Merkel made her way to the White House to meet with Joe Biden where they will discuss climate change, cyberattacks and Covid-19.

This isn’t the first time Kamala Harris has greeted a foreign head of state visiting the White House.
Earlier this year, Joe Biden deployed Harris to greet Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga where she disrespected him by droning on and on about gun violence in the US.
