More astonishing information continues to come out regarding the shocking apparent terror attack on board a plane heading to Israel this morning, and there has been an arrest as well.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, the Israel-bound Flydubai flight FZ1073 on Wednesday made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after plunging thousands of feet and sparking concerns of a hijacking incident from passengers.
The plane was flying from Dubai at the time.
Passengers and Israeli officials revealed that a bloody cockpit altercation resulted in a co-pilot stabbing the captain. The cabin crew then reportedly entered the cockpit and took control of the plane.
Israeli fighter jets were scrambled to the area over the potential hijacking.
Now, the copilot who stabbed his colleague has been arrested for trying to crash the packed passenger plane in “a jihadist terrorist attack.”
The suspect, who is of Omani descent, plotted to bring down the Boeing 737 Max jet with 174 people on board, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement.
“According to the initial information in our possession, the terrorist had one intention: to crash the plane with all its passengers,” he explained.
The Omani national had worked for FlyDubai for less than a year. Oman does NOT have diplomatic relations with Israel.
Israeli officials are investigating whether the suspect held dual citizenship.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also revealed more shocking details earlier at a press conference regarding the horrifying incident.
Netanyahu said that he spoke to one of the Israeli passengers on board the plane following the attack. The passenger told Netanyahu that the plane went into a spin and began to nosedive.
Fox reported that the plane plunged roughly 17,000 feet in one minute.
When that occurred, the passenger then broke into the cockpit with one of the crew members, and they subdued the terrorist pilot together.
Netanyahu also confirmed that an additional flight crew was on board, entered the cockpit, and managed to stabilize the aircraft.
The passengers are now safely in Saudi Arabia and awaiting methods to return to Israel.
“I salute the heroes who showed extraordinary bravery and, according to the passenger’s account, saved many lives,” Netanyahu said.

Yasmin Abukasis, whose daughter was aboard the flight, revealed additional details to Fox News about the attack.
Abukasis said that her daughter noticed passengers rushing to intervene during the cockpit fight. Her daughter also confirmed that a man had a knife and passengers grabbed his hand and forced him to the floor amid significant bleeding.
These passengers literally stopped an Israeli 9/11. One can imagine movies will be made about this.
